Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-01. These terms govern use of nemequene.ink and the Nemequene API, provided by Nemequene LLC (in formation), a Rhode Island (USA) limited liability company (“we”, “the service”).
1. The service
Nemequene is a non-custodial bitcoin payment-processing API and related verification services. You register a watch-only extended public key; invoices derive addresses from it; payments go directly from your customer to addresses only you control. We never hold, control, or transmit your funds and possess no private keys. We provide software and observation, not money transmission or custody.
2. Accounts and credentials
You are responsible for safeguarding your API key and portal credentials, and for all activity under them. Keys can be rotated at any time; rotation revokes the previous key immediately.
3. Fees
Fees are the flat amounts on the published pricing page, billed monthly
in arrears. Free-tier limits are enforced by the API and reported by the
/uso endpoint. We never charge a percentage of your payment volume.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful activity, or attempt to disrupt it or access other merchants’ data. Rate limits are enforced. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
5. Verifiability and records
API responses carry cryptographic proofs against an append-only event log. Those proofs are the authoritative record of what the service did and are independently verifiable by you.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not a bank, exchange, custodian, or financial adviser. Bitcoin network confirmation times and fees are outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Sections 5–8 survive termination.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
